Gadi Sagar Lake is one of the most well-known tourist attractions in Jaisalmer. It was originally built as a man-made reservoir to provide water to the inhabitants of Jaisalmer. This reservoir was built in 1367 by Maharawal Jaisal, the city’s first king, and was later rebuilt by Maharawal Garsi Singh. Shrine, temples, ghats, and Chattris along the Lake’s shores. This lake, located south of the city, features Telia-Pol, a yellow sandstone entry archway created by Telia, a royal courtesan. Here, one can go for a leisurely walk or go for a boat ride. The backdrop of the Jaisalmer fort provides an amazing perspective. During the Gangaur festival, this lake attracts a great number of visitors.
